Dr G Prashanth Reddy
Affectionately known as Dr Reddy, he is the New Owner and Practice Principal of First Point Healthcare, where he leads with a clear vision for excellence in community healthcare. Under his leadership, Beaconsfield Family Medical Practice was proudly recognised as the RACGP Best Practice of the Year, 2024 (Tasmania). His leadership has shaped the clinic into a modern, inclusive, and dynamic practice dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care.
Dr Reddy is a dedicated and passionate General Practitioner with a broad scope of experience and a deep commitment to patient-centred care.
Dr Lioudmila (Lucy) Ioussov
Lucy graduated from Omsk State Medical Academy, Omsk State University, Russian Federation in 1993. Lucy gained extensive experience working in the Russian Federation and Israel before she started working General Practice in Australia in 2014. She has been practising in rural Tasmania for six years and absolutely loves our beautiful State. Lucy is interested in all aspects of General Practice, especially women’s health, skin health and chronic disease management. Other than English, Lucy speaks Russian and Hebrew.
Dr Edward Ioussov
Edward graduated from Omsk State Medical Academy, Omsk State University, Russian Federation in 1993. Edward gained extensive experience working in the Russian Federation and Israel before he started working in General Practice in Australia in 2014. He has been practising in rural Tasmania for seven years and absolutely loves our beautiful State. Edward is interested in all aspects of General Practice, especially gastroenterology, musculoskeletal (MSK) health, skin health and chronic disease management. Other than English, Edward speaks Russian and Hebrew.
Dr Abhaya Nanayakkara
Dr.Abhaya graduated from University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka in 1986 and worked in the Sri Lankan airforce as a doctor for 20 years. Dr Abhaya has worked in Australia since 2011. In 2018 Dr Abhaya relocated to Tasmania and has worked in both rural and urban locations including Deloraine and Launceston. Dr Abhaya is interested in men’s health, chronic disease management, sports/travel medicine. Other than English, Dr Abhaya speaks Singhlease.
Dr Santosh Shrestha
Dr Santosh Shrestha is a committed and compassionate General Practitioner who moved to Australia seven years ago with his wife and two children to pursue his dream of practicing medicine in a supportive and community-focused environment. Since then, Tasmania has become his home.
With over a decade of medical experience overseas and three years working as a Junior Doctor in the Australian healthcare system—at both North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) and Launceston General Hospital (LGH)—Dr Shrestha brings a broad and well-rounded clinical background to his work.
He has particular interests in dermatology, acute care, and adult medicine, and is dedicated to ongoing learning and professional development to better serve his patients. Known for his approachable nature and genuine care, Dr Shrestha enjoys building long-term relationships with his patients.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys exploring nature, hiking, listening to music, and connecting with new people. Dr Shrestha looks forward to continuing to serve the Tasmanian community for many years to come.
Dr Sujan Bhandari
Dr Sujan Bhandari has around 10 years of experience in healthcare. Originally from Nepal, he graduated in 2013 from the Philippines and moved to Australia in 2017. He has worked in Launceston General Hospital for 3 years and gained further experience in medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, women and child health. Dr Bhandari is passionate about providing patient-centered holistic care and has strong interest in adult medicine, chronic diseases, men’s health, skin medicine, preventative medicine and multicultural health. Besides medicine, Dr Bhandari enjoys exploring new places and spending quality time with family and friends.

Originally born and raised in Riverside I moved to Victoria to complete Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University and graduated in 2013. I worked at the LGH for 18 months before moving into private practice at Riverside Physiotherapy in 2015 and took over ownership in 2018. I enjoy seeing a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries with a keen interest in sports injuries, post operative recovery and relief of cervical pain and associated headaches. I love to provide physiotherapy to locations and people that normally wouldn't have access to it. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, playing netball and staying fit.

After completing schooling in Launceston, Ashlee studied a Bachelor of Nutrition Science at UTAS and then moved interstate to Canberra to complete a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is keen to be back in Tasmania providing nutrition care to the local community, where she has been working with Pathway Nutrition since 2021. Ashlee is interested in a variety of nutrition-related conditions, however specific interests include gut health, food intolerances, diabetes and weight management (including metabolic surgery).
